1. Objective and Field of Application |
Esta Norma Oficial Mexicana establece los requisitos
mínimos de seguridad, los métodos de prueba que deben
cumplir los calefactores de ambiente de uso doméstico,
así como sus partes y accesorios, que empleen como
combustible Gas L.P. o Gas natural, así como la
información comercial que debe exhibirse en la etiqueta
del producto. |
This Official Mexican Standard establishes the minimum
safety requirements, the testing methods that room
heaters for domestic use must comply with, as well as
their parts and accessories that employ LP Gas or
Natural Gas as fuel, as well as the commercial
information that must be exhibited on the label of the
product. |
Esta Norma Oficial Mexicana aplica a calefactores de
ambiente de uso doméstico, con potencia calorífica de 15
kW y menores. |
This Official Mexican Standard applies to room heaters
for domestic use, with heating power of 15 kW and less.

3.1 Aire del ambiente:

3.39.14 Semiautomatic valve for room heater:
Valve that requires manual operation and controls the
supply of gas to the burner or burners and pilot(s).
This valve consists of a flame failure safety system and

3.39.15 Thermostatic valve for room heater:
Automatic valve that controls the supply of gas to the
burner or burners and pilot(s) maintaining the
temperature of the environment between pre-established
limits. This valve consists of a flame failure safety
system, a system for the control and direction of gas, a
principal valve and a temperature sensor element. There
can also be one or more of the following safety devices: |
