La salud materna de mujeres y personas con capacidad de gestar, así como la salud neonatal son temas de interés prioritario en las políticas públicas de México, además son elementos esenciales para asegurar el ejercicio de los derechos humanos, particularmente de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos, así como condiciones necesarias para avanzar en el desarrollo sostenible de la población^[1].

Maternal health of women and people with the ability to bear children, as well as neonatal health, are topics of priority interest in public policies in Mexico. They are also essential elements to ensure the exercise of human rights, particularly sexual and reproductive rights, as well as necessary conditions to advance the sustainable development of the population^[2].
