Introduction

Las inspecciones en seco son fundockentales para garantizar las buenas condiciones de la embarcación o artefacto naval, por lo que deben ser realizadas de manera que la frecuencia de estas, asegure que existan las condiciones para un adecuado mantenimiento preventivo y/o correctivo según sea el caso; anteponiendo la seguridad de la vida humana en el mar, una disminución en la contaminación marina, la conservación de las embarcaciones, además de minimizar el consumo de combustible.

Dry inspections are essential to guarantee the good conditions of the vessel or naval artifact, so they must be carried out so that their frequency ensures that the conditions exist for adequate preventive and/or corrective maintenance as the case may be; putting the safety of human life at sea first, a decrease in marine pollution, the conservation of vessels, in addition to minimizing fuel consumption.

1.1. Objective

Establecer la frecuencia y alcance de las inspecciones en seco a que estarán sujetos los diferentes tipos de embarcaciones y artefactos navales menores de 500 Unidades de Arqueo Bruto, que no estén clasificadas por una sociedad miembro de la Asociación Internacional de Sociedades de Clasificación, así como validar las condiciones de seguridad de los elementos sumergidos de las mismas.

To establish the frequency and scope of dry inspections to which the different types of vessels and naval artifacts of less than 500 Gross Tonnage Units, which are not classified by a member society of the International Association of Classification Societies, will be subject, as well as to validate the safety conditions of their submerged elements.
